Sr Gustina from Peru says: "Being Franciscan today is to be able to feel within, a God who loves me beyond things, limitations, and weaknesses; He simply loves.
I also think it is to go against the current, as the salmon does. Salmon are interesting because, unlike other fish, which swim with the current, the salmon swims upstream, against the tide. The journey is dangerous, but the salmon takes the risk in order to reach the goal, which is to reproduce. Similarly, my goal is to be with God, and that too is to go against the current, which the world presents to me. When I have God within, difficulties become lighter. If I do my part, God will provide. I have great freedom to announce love to everyone without exception, and to be faithful to the one who invited me and gives me everything. I follow Francis and Jesus, who were faithful to the Father."
