Responding to God’s Call in Papua New Guinea

Candidates

Late in January this year, we warmly welcomed four young women into our candidacy program. From left to right: Creshilda Wateamuru, Jesmalyn Bosbana, Sabina Wanombor, and Sonia Marau, all coming from different parts of Papua New Guinea.

In June, they will begin a three-week community life experience within the professed communities as part of their ongoing discernment and formation journey. If all goes well, they will be received into postulancy on August 2. We keep them in our prayers as they continue responding generously to God’s call.

Postulants

We began the year with four postulants, and on the Feast of Mother Mary Ignatius Hayes, they were joyfully received into the Novitiate.

From left to right: Mary Clare Mimbiala, Fidelma Ikalom, Janet Awulba.

Novitiate

At present, the Novitiate community consists of six novices, three in their first year and three in their second year. The second-year novices are Jane Joseph, Aloisia Valuan, and Petronella Talia.

Together with the postulants and candidates, they continue their formation journey with faith, hope, and openness to God’s invitation. Please continue to keep all of them in your prayers.
